Ultra-Barrier Films
GADP’s "Super-Sapphire" single-layer barrier coating can be deposited on a wide variety of plastic (PET, PC, Kapton™, etc), glass, or metallic substrates and has proven to be a highly effective barrier to oxygen and water vapor for a number of applications, including:
- Flexible Displays
- Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs)
- Polymer Light Emitting Diodes (PLEDs)
- Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs)
- Electrophoretic Displays
- Bistable Cholesteric Displays
- Organic Photovoltaic Cells
- Thin Film Lithium-Ion Batteries
GADP has extensive experience in ITO/TCO coatings on plastic as well.
We have done development work and prototypes in the areas:
- Transparent HUD on plastic embedded in glass
- Wavelength filter on plastic
- Metal coatings on plastic for high energy density capacitors
- Pockel’s cell coatings on BK-7 glass and KDDP
- One-way imaging films
