Display Products was founded in 2000 and is a division of General Atomics. We have assembled an innovative group of talented engineers and scientists who conduct research and product development in the area of thin film coatings. We specialize in sophisticated coatings like ultra-barrier coatings on plastic and transparent conductive coatings on plastic and other substrates.
In our class 10,000 cleanroom we operate unique vacuum deposition systems. For our OLED research we are capable of depositing organic light emitting materials via thermal evaporation and spin coating. Product development is carried out on our 4-inch vacuum batch coater and then transitioned to our 12-inch roll-to-roll pilot line. For volume production we use our 40-inch wide multi-purpose production tool.
With our full service facility we are offering contract thin film coatings. We have the experience, capability and capacity to design, prototype and produce a great variety of specialized commercial, military, industrial and commercial thin film coatings for many applications.
In order to characterize the quality of our coatings we have in-house analytical capabilities, i.e. SEM, EDS, AFM, Optical Spectroscopy (transmission/reflection/color index) and film thickness step measurements. To measure factors affecting OLED lifetime we have created an ultra-sensitive testing method to measure water vapor permeation using tritiated water. |
